The Dorado Derby is a sport fishing tournament with a recreational and family-friendly atmosphere. It is held every year at Marinaterra Hotel & Spa in San Carlos, Guaymas, in the state of Sonora.

Participation is on an individual basis, and the winner is the participant who presents the heaviest male dorado fish, in accordance with the tournament rules.

Friday, June 12
Registration from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Terra Room, Marinaterra Hotel & Spa.

Saturday, June 13
7:00 a.m. All participating boats must gather at the entrance/exit of San Carlos Bay to officially start the tournament.

3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Fish reception and weigh-in.

7:00 p.m. Award ceremony and closing dinner at Marinaterra Hotel & Spa.
